12'' Ext box carriage bearing.

Where can I find one? Not sure who carries them besides Stellings. Its for a Bravo 1.

Any help from you outdrive guru's would help.

What engine do you have in your boat and how much HP? I have a center bearing carrier with my dyno attached to it.

In the parts for sale section an OSO member has a box with 200 hrs on it and I was thinking about buying it. But,,,he suggested replacing it before putting the box on my boat.

I have a 29 scarab with a 502mpi whipplecharged engine. I'm guesssing with other slight mods I made on the engine when rebuilding it, it probably has about 620 to 645 HP. Thats just a guess, I didn't not have it dynoed.

I am open for suggestions.

It's a very standard bearing. Grainger or any decent bearing store would carry the part.

I run that bearing carrier on my turbine boats. It uses 2 bearings, one of them is open so the grease can pass through to the rear one, which has a seal on one side of it and then there is a seal for the front of the carrier. I have the replacemant bearing numbers and also the seal number somewhere in my files if you need.

Could you look up those part numbers for the 2 bearings and the seal. Do you have a good place to buy them at? Thanks.

bearing number is 6209 2Z/C3 order two. remove both seals from one bearing, and one seal from one bearing. ( piece of cake, use a pick type of tool) cost about 30 or so bucks ea for good quality bearing SKF, or 20 bucks for cheap ones. buy it from bearing or power distribution outlet, look in yellow pages
seal number for shaft is national 40520S order from auto parts store like NAPA or Carquest. comntact me of list if you need futher help, parts blowup of assembly [email protected]
