Tomcat how many do you hope to sell each year? Have you got sales numbers from Vortech and Pro Charger? If you assume a percentage of that sales can you keep up? Good luck and I hope to see ya down in Miami.

Thats a very generous offer...
I would take him up on it.

Audiofn: I have no idea, I just hope it's somewhere between 10 and 100! I don't even know how many Vortech and Procharger sell.

Too Old: I hear ya brother...but I've got to reverse the current direction of cash flow if you know what I mean. Two of these are a big chunk of change, but I'm open to proposals that break new ground. I want to support my dealers, but I don't have anyone down your way yet. If you can get me hooked up with the right dealer down there I will do my part on the pricing. Send me a PM.

Back4More: I'm interested in developing a "Big Gun" package based on a large displacement block, Vortech's Z-trim blower and an (even) bigger Supercooler. Do you know anyone in your area that's looking for ~1200 HP?

Back4More 11-28-2003 06:17 AM

What displacement you talkin?

tomcat 11-28-2003 07:19 AM

To keep and RPM down to reasonable levels I'm thinking 600+ CID.

cobra marty 11-28-2003 11:00 AM

If you use a 598-622CID with 8.5:1 and get 1.15-1.2HP/CID, you'll get about 720HP

720HP x 8 pounds = 1076HP
720HP x 10 pounds = 1166HP
720HP x 11 pounds = 1210HP

Hey Marty: You may have to add a new equation for estimating HP on Rtech systems. I agree that 1.2 HP/CID is probably accurate for Nickerson's 498 to deliver 600 HP naturally aspirated. But we made 950 HP on Dean's engine with only ~9 lbs of boost on GM cast iron heads. Increasing displacement and improving head flow to keep pace with displacement we should be able to make:

632/498 X 950 = 1205 HP at the same 9 lbs, not 11 lbs.

This similar HP with 2 lbs less boost is the flip side of the results of the back to back dyno tests, where the Supercooler makes more boost and more power with the same blower pulley.

Re: Rtech Update - Marketing 101

Tom,

Good to see you and your brother in So Be!

The new system you had on display at the Poker Runs America party looked incredible!

I'm anxious to hear the numbers!

Kurt
