Say that U R not willing to go all the way and put a blower on it.

I read somewhere that adding a suitable roller cam would make about 30 hp. How do I now which cam to add, given that I would like to keep the smooth idling. Would just the cam change be enough or does it require additional changes.

BTW - Miller, excellent article!

Thomas

KWB, I think your Bulldog/bravo package would only be worth $10K not the $18K you think.

Ken, what did you find out from Pfaff and from Eickert? Did you buy the boat?

Miller - I just got back from NH and looked at the Tiger - it looked good.

I'm just running the numbers on what it would cost to convert it to the engine / drive combo I want.

I'm gonna wait until after the Miami boat show before I decide anything.

Take care.

What did Pfaff and Eickert say? Is it more economical to build the 540ci Bulldogs into 900hp engines or sell the Bulldogs and buy 900hp motors from one of them? Also, did they say that building up the motors would be as reliable as a new from them or not?

I'm still waiting on a quote from Pfaff. This is what Eickert said:

If your engines are in good running condition with only 70 hrs.you
would probably be better off selling them and starting fresh. To get to
900-950 H.P. most of the parts in a Bulldog would have to be replaced
and you would end up with a lot of used parts. (not worth much) As a
complete engine you have something of value to sell. If we can help you
with your future engine plans please contact me 386-446-0660
Thank you,
Keith
