I'm looking for a new drive..I understand the merc #3-6's..but whats the order.... Whats the beginner drive, bravo 1? And where does it go from there..XR? Then onto the speed-masters?

what type of boat and how much horsepower are you working with ?

Its a 28ft donzi with a 650 N/A motor... I am prob. going to go with a Bravo 1 with a surface drive. My question is where each drive stands against one another... In other words.. whats the order... cheapest to most expensive?

This may help you, Basically - Alpha, Bravo, #3/#5 Then #6

a bravo usually isn't considered a surface drive..... That would be a really high x dimension. I think of surface drives as something like an arneson or kaama.
Surface Drives are great, but only if you want to go fast :D Ernie This is a surface drive. |
I know.. I wanted to add the surafce drive to my existing Bravo one.... What do they usually go for??

BigChief,
I don't think anyone understands your question. You either have a surface drive OR a standard drive (alpha, bravo, #3, #6, etc). You won't have a bravo surface drive as there is no such thing. |
