building a stroker tall deck for a friend-help

this is tall deck;

what is the maximum bore we can take from this block?
what is the maximum stroke?

i am trying to understand how much will be .125 more

Std bore should be 4.250 !!! tripps

Bore maximum size really depends on how the block sonic tests. You can go 4.5" on stroke with a little work on clearance for the rods. :D

do i have to be very well experienced to do that? or simple work?

You don't have to be an expert but you need to know what your doing or you can weaken or worse ruin a good block. The blockk has some clearance notches now you just need more room. If it is a 427 truck engine block it is not clearanced enough for even a 4.25 stroke. Actually 4.0 stroke may need some grinding. You just don't want to grind any more than you have to. Before blocks became more available and priced better the 427 tall block was a popular block. It does not have the strength that a Dart or Merlin or a GM Bowtie block has. I am sure there is a web site that has some how to tips better than I could explain. Maybe someone else knows or I will check and see what I can find.

cool site, also scholl stuff may be i should go to course like that cause i am not planning to give -up hi-hp engines and there is noone around here to help me...

There are other sites with information like this also but nothing like hands on knowledge. Course might even pay for itself in the long run. I think it would be fun, wish I had the time. :)
