Good point, my drive height was 2.5 inches above stock.

One more thing to consider......

I have a cone on my Checkmate which is not needed for the current power but it was there from the previous owners big hp blower motor an 3 digit speeds.

On the Potomac River there are a lot of anchor/raft up spots with low water and a sandy bottom. When the drive is trimmed up to idle in or out of the shallow water, the water pick-up on the front of the cone acts like a vacuum nozzle on the sandy bottom.
I have thought of removing it, but figured it would be more trouble than it's worth. Plus, like cord said..... It looks fast:D
