2002 hp 500 sparkplugs and gap
i have a 2002 hp 500 and would like to know what are good plugs to use and the gap setting.

All tuned up and no were to go !
ash72201,
Your 500 EFI's should take a Mercury part #33-59571 spark plug which is also an NGK #BR6FS and the gap is standard .035.. If by chance this is a carberated engine the same applies. Pwrbt33- John S. Offshore Performance 1-877-GOFAST1 410-827-0200 x-1 :D |
prwbt33 thanks for the reply on my 500hp i have the a-z speed and marines kit . it has the mono blade throttle body , fuel reg, msd system, ecu reprograming, will any of this make a differance in type of plug and gap.
thanks john |
Tuned up ..
ash72201,
I hate to give out modified info, especially if I didnt do the mods. The best bet would be to call A-Z Speed and ask them if they modify any plugs or gaps and if the have done any testing on a dyno to see the gains. Usually on a full MSD ignition set up I will increase the gap by .003 to .005. Call them to verify though. Good luck. Pwrbt33 Offshore Performance 1-877-GOFAST1 410-827-0200 x-1 |
