They make magnetic and ones that replace a freeze plug. A friend of mine ran one to keep some temp on his oil because of problems with a cold start and his blower. I know his was an automotive one.

Seems like I've heard of one that goes down the dipstick tube...diesel engines need em to keep the oil warm....but down here we dont use em

Theres a unit that replaces a freeze out plug (Don't know how it will stand up in salt water), a magnetic one that sticks to your oil pan, a dipstick one that goes...well you know where, and an inline one that would normally go in a radiator hose (Probably good on a closed system). If it's winterized, why bother? Do you want to start it up in this cold??? Check JC Whitney, they have all that stuff. They even sell one that you can stick to your battery! :)

I just use a little 1500w heater. Set it at about 60 on low watt setting. Keeps everything dry and warm. starts alot better too.

You can buy a silicone pad heater that adheres to the oil pan. I've used them before and they work very well.
