Gas Transportation
Hey all. Not too technical a question, but has anyone come up with a better way to transport gas other than fillling up the 5 gallon plastic cans? I'm thinking of going to a higher octane engine and will have to transport the refuel each weekend. I thought that there were 50 gallon trolley-type cans with pumps, but can't find them anywhere, including the internet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I bought a 32 gallon fuel cell from Summit Racing and mounted an electric fuel pump right on top, works good, dem. are 25x17x18 in. about 135.00 for the fuel cell.

Check Overtons website for "Gas Caddy". A friend of mine bought one for his ski boat on a private lake. About a 30 gal tank on wheels with manual transfer pump.

I think you can find gas caddies at Graingers or McMaster Carr..... they are nationwide.

You can try US Plastics. http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/default.asp
They sell all kinds of plastic stuff including fuel tanks. Maybe they'll have what you need. |
I purchased a couple of 55gal drums and just refill them.

If you have a pickup truck you can install a tank and pump in the back. I am going to get a 100 gallon tank for car racing and to fill the boat.
Transferflow.com They have refuelling tanks as well as extended range tanks that automatically top off your truck tank. Steve |
