Scott-
I am looking into buying a cruiser, but the sizes I am looking at 26ft don't have gen's.. Can you tell me roughly what costs are involved.. I think it would cost over 5k, and if it did it probably won't be worth it..
Thanks
Travis

Just remember to use stainless threaded pipe for the exhaust! If you have trouble finding it, try contacting mcmaster-carr.

Total with everything about a 3.5 kw gen is going to be close to $5k. what are you looking to run on the boat? Maybe a portable 2kw Honda would be a better bet. Set it on the swim platform, tie it down and relax, DO NOT LEAVE IT RUNNING AND GO TO SLEEP!!!!!! Also invest in a good CO detector, mount it low in the cabin abour 12" off the floor.
