Cometic head gaskets.

I hear cometic are the better head gaskets these days. I need to find a dealer. I am gonna be running 12.6:1 CR on my aluminum head small block. If anyone has any other gaskets they have used and trust for this application please let me know.

Phone #'s for dealers would help to ;)

Do they have a website?

Thank you

Travis

Supercharged application here.
Cast Iron heads to cast iron block.

I Have used Felpro for years. I hope I made the right
decision.

Whats up Travis? I got my Cometic head gaskets from Nickerson Performance. (215)781-1370. They are supposed to be the best head gasket out there. I have used Fel-Pro in the past with no problems. I am looking at a 23' WPM Cat this weekend hoping to find a home for the 598". I am hoping it is a nice boat!!

Craig

Do you guys aneal (spelling) your copper head gaskets? I know Cometic says theres are anealed but they really soften up if you do it yourself. Im speaking from experience with their motocycle head gaskets which we a o-ring and sometimes a receiver grove with.

I have a friend who uses Cometic head gaskets on his small block Ford race car. He swears by them (not at them):)

I hope they are that good. I just put them on my motors because I don't want anymore head gasket problems.

With a recommendation from Tyler Crockett, you can take it to the bank.;)

I can't tell you where I got mine:rolleyes: I'll get in trouble.

Traviss:
We are using Cometic MLS stainless gaskets with our new aluminum heads and are having great results. I talked to Bob Gorman the President of Cometic at the Miami show and they now have a new finish coating available for their MLS gaskets which has a surface RA of about 50 which means that no special refininshing of the block or head surface is needed unless your heads or block surfaces are nicked, corroded, etc. Just carefully remove the old gasket material, clean them with brake cleaner or MEK and install the gaskets.
Hope this helps,
Raylar;)
