The new BIGPOWER aluminum head goes on sale March 1st at an intro price of 2650.00 per pair for the first 100 pairs. The first 100 pairs are being built starting the first week of March in Ohio by our casting company and they will be finish machined by Roush, assembled at the plant in Ohio and will ship in April. Raylar, you made a reference in an earlier post to warranty issues. I assume that a head swap and injector upgrade would void any remaining factory warranty? Do you know the cost of the parts required other than the heads? Nice work!

I would think you could change back to factory stuff if you had a major problem, since no programming of the computer would take place. For all the computer knows, the motor is still making 425 hp.

The price includes everything except for rocker arms. The heads accept the stock rocker arms or you can upgrade to stainless roller rocker arms for $276.00 for the 1.8 ratio or $246.00 for the 1.7 ratio. Hope this answers your questions. When we stopped by the booth in Miami we saw the set-up and it was NICE! The display also had the Arizona Speed intake plenum and some upgraded exhaust. Very impressive!
Raylar - are you saying that that only changing the heads with nothing else at all is going to yield 40-50 HP at the shaft? |

You bet! Remember the aluminum head has a 10to1 compression ratio versus the stock iron head a 9to1. this alone we found on the dyno so far is good for about 35hp not even counting the head flows about 20% better and faster than the stock iron heads. We are playing with fuel pressure settings and injector sizes now and were hitting over 500 and we have not even had to do anything to the ECM. We are really excited to get our new cams in and our new manifold on. We feel very confident that 575 to 600HP is not far off! Raylar ;) |
