5 blade GP
 

Checking to see what the interest is for a GP on the Accelerator from Houston Prop or the P5X by Hydromotive. There has been a lot of comment s and views about the 5 blades. Respond if genuinely interested in talking to Matt at Throttleup or Darin at Houston prop about it. I figure we need at least 10-15 for pricing power. Let's hear what you think.

Gee I thought that there would be more response to these 5 blades. Maybe I just think I need one and really don't either. We'll probably have to wait to a few guinea pigs try these out and brag about the difference in performance bdfore the interest peaks.

OK, I cannot tell you how many calls I have had in the past two weeks on the subject of 5 Blades. Never underestimate the power of the boards.....I heard the request and will answer the calling. If there is truely enough interest in the Hydromotive 5 Blades I will give you all a "GP" as you call it, on them!;)

OK, Julie I appreciate hearing from you concerning the GP on Hydromotive 5 blades. We'll give it a little time and try to keep the post up near the top so people can see what we are trying to do. I agree the power of boards is amazing no matter the subject. Julie get your pencil and paper ready so when the idea of a GP finally catches on for a state of the art 5 blade we'll be wearing your phone out.

I'm serious about 5er, would love a Hering, but won't spend that much. Darin's deal is more attractive IMO

Hey Cattitude Darin erased prices off of his original thread, when he sold a certain number of 5 blades, do you know what he was offering. I have received offers from Throttle Up and BAM, but not on a GP.

I would be interested as well, But won't have an Idea on what pitch till this spring when I run the new engine and HP???? I can probably guess, and If I'm wrong I'm sure Julie will exchange for me ???Right???:) :)

His offer was to get things started. 2-3 wks ago it was 1k for a set (first set only, I think) but he told me 1k for a single as well, not sure what he'll want now, need to just call him and see.

Personally I don't think the market would bear any more, sure we have high hopes but you know what you get with a Hering for a little more $.

Yeah that is what I remember from the first thread, till it was edited, glad to know I didn't imagine it. We'll see what we can do for a GP if we get enough interest.

What is the going price for a pair of Hearings? If the best is only a little more, Just maybe!! I myself dont like price changes with out being warned.. Just my .02..(unless it lowered)

$1700 each, spoke with them yesterday, that includes all tweaking/exchange to next pitch higher or lower, less shipping. 10% restocking fee worst case.

Can you differentiate who should use the P5 and who should look to the P5X, personally I have a 26' Daytona cat with supercharged BBC,what would you recommend for my application.

The Hydromotive P5 is a "semi cleaver" stern lifting prop.

The Hydromotive P5-X is a "Round Ear " bow lifting prop.

I would want to know a few more details on your set-up but I believe the best propeller for you would be the

Talked to Jim Hering today and got his price. Then I called Teague Marine and you can get the five blade for around 1600 if you purchase a pair..
There may be places that you can get them even at a better price,you can bet that I will be looking!! I want a pair of Hering 6 blades..Anyone have any idea who I can get a deal on them from?

Thanks everyone.I feel with my current set up there is a little more top end .I have 03 formula 353 with the 525efi & stellings boxes running merc lab 33 @5300rpm. speed is 85 to 87.6 gps. What do you think.I want a better hole shot &want to go to a 5 blade. Rex

I would reccommend a P5X for your goals. This will provide you with better acceleration as well as improving your hole shot over the Bravo I while maintaining your top end speed.
