Which pan gasket for GEN V 502?

I need to replace the pan gasket on my gen 5 502, its leaking at the bottom of the timimg cover where it meets the pan. Is there a special gasket I should use and are there any little tricks to increase the success of the replacement? Thanks Greg:confused:

I used the Felpro. If I recall correctly, you are instructed by Felpro to put a bead of RTV in both the timing cover and rear main cap grooves before installing the gasket and in the corners as well. I had no leaks doing it that way.

I use RTV all over the surfaces when I'm installing BBC oil pans.
And I'm not torque the bolts all the way before the RTV is dry.
Never a leak so far.

38kv did you say that you dont torque the bolts all the way until the rtv is hardened? Greg

Yes,I torque them about 50-75% of the recomended 80 lbs.inch for the 1/4" and 165 lbs.inch for the 5/16" when I install the oilpan, and torque them all the way the day after.
