was looking at the props on my boat and noticed a few drops of gear lube inside of prop. where is the seal, has set since november. how hard are they to change.

The 2 prop seals are in the inside of bearing carrier. It has to be removed to replace the seals. Need special tools. Depending on yr of drive, determines if the carrier gets retorqed or bearing preload reset.

Johnnyboatman, pm me if you need any help with it, local in the city. it could be prop shaft seals, or the oil drain seal. can pressure test it to make sure where at for ya if needed.
