My new AFR heads

1 Attachment(s)
My new AFR 335 CNC heads came in the mail today. What a treat! I feel like a kid at Christmas. These things are jewel like in their finish, look like real quality pieces. I want to thank the guys in Charlotte, NC. for their help getting me a great deal.

A bunch of other people have been using these heads on 540's and making 700 hp n/a. That's what i'm aiming for.

are they CNC'd?

I am thinking about this swap as well. What cam and exhaust are you planning to run to see 700hp N/A?

I have 2 sets of old style K/E cast aluminum manifolds. They are 2" individual runner and look quite eficient. The cam is a Crane 651 hyd. roller. Comp. is 9.7 to 1.

Old style K/E cast aluminum manifolds?
Is there a difference?
Have you matched up your exhaust manifolds to the AFR's?
Might there be a clearance issue?
Just looking for info.
I bought the AFR 315 CNC Ported Hard Anodized for my 540 project (9:1 CR). I am going to run my Stainless Marine Exhaust. The picture you posted made me think about the clearance issue, if any.
I have not seen my heads as they are still at the engine builder's shop. Thanks for any reply as always.

If you dyno the engine, be sure to post the results!
