12v relays - who makes good quality ones?
I'm plumbing up an electric fuel pump system, and need a source for GOOD QUALITY 12v relays. They need to be able to trigger a 30A circuit.
Thanks, Brian |

if you want something that looks good and maybe overkill check this out: http://www.dedenbear.com/mrc1txt.htm
they also sell the Bosch relay rated for 30A with terminals and a mounting bracket for $14 ea :) |
Bosch makes a nice 20/30 amp one that works well for fuel systems. I'll attach a photo.

They are about 5 bucks each new at electronics supply houses.

Thanks Reed,
That picture with the part number did the trick. http://www.dieselmanor.com/electrical/relay30A.asp $3.99 ea., so I bought a few spares. |
I'm glad I could help... those have been good for me... small... a pair can even fit in a motorcycle headlight bucket behind the light and work well.

MCM Electronics sells the Bosch 30A and 40A relays for $1.01 each, and the matching socket for $.083 each.

You should check out the draw on your fuel pumps. If they are 30 amp draw then I would suggest you wire them in parallel as you are to close to the tollerences of even the 30-40 relay. Most fuel pump relays are 60 amp. However by wireing in parallel you get a 60-80 relay. Hope that helps. Oh ya these are car relays so make sure you seal them up and also I would use a liberal coating of white lithium grease or something similiar to help with Corrosion.
