Whipple Charged - fourth season
I tore my HP500EFI down over the winter after three seasons and 102hrs. Just wanted to let everyone know that it was clean as hell. Bearings, crank, pistons, rods, etc.
Conditions are extreme - Dallas heat 100+ degrees 90 degree water temp. We run the local poker runs - not afraid to push the throttle. Dustin - you are the man! Big thanks to Rick at Metroplex Machine in Mesquite, TX -He freshend my 39hr motor before the project as well as this last one over the winter. Rock solid work - honest and great quality. Could not be happier! |
thats great! I also tore mine down last month after 2 1/2
years and 100 ProCharger hours, bottom end looks like new and as a precautionary measure I had Precision Marine in Kenner, LA upgrade my heads with their proprietary work on the heads as well as severe duty intake valves, larger incolnel exhaust valves and Crane gold roller rocker arms, ARP bolts and the works! |
Boy, you guys don't drive your boats very often ;)
Just curious, how did your rings look? |
My boat is 96 model Fountain with 260 hours, I average around 50 hours a season which is really not much considering the fact that I live in the south and can ride almost year round! My rings looked great by the way.

At 100 we make it to the other side of the lake in less than 5 minutes. You can only go back and forth so many times. Mine looked fine as well.
