just blasted paint of bravo and found lower 1/2 is paper thin now what to do ????? thought boat was always a fresh water?? any bravo lower cases out there???

doesn't mean it was in salt,, my friends 26 sonic went through 2 lowers in fresh, his mercathode unit was the problem..

I bought a fresh water only boat that the bravo was more chewed up on than my salt boats. If they never replaced the anodes, or used the wrong type (think fresh uses magnesium instead of zinc) , and the prop is stainless, you can still get the drive eaten up. Also, if the boat has shore power, and was kept near a boat with electrical problems that can cause problems too.

i have 3 perfect lowers used. you need to know what year they are because the oil passage has been changed. old style & new style will not work together. RB
