bell housing hinge pins
Bravo One with the trim senders in gimble ring.
What everyday tool will tighten the side hinge pins? 1/2" allen socket wrench? Thanks |
Hard to get enough torque on them without the Merc 12 point tool.

I use a socket mounted allen driver. Never had a problem.

This is on a freinds boat that is an hr away that I happened to catch while doing the drive service maintance yesterday. Just needed to know if the 1/2" was correct before drving back down there only to find out it is a bastard size. Or is it bigger? Had no tape measure to check while I was there. Thanks |
Yes, it is 1/2".

Make sure to put lock tite on it.
And if it got loose the threads might be buggered up. |

Gary's right. If you ever have stripped out a hinge pin and had to drill it out, you wish you had bought the tool.#91-78310.Fits Alpha,TRS and Bravo.
