new headers

Has anyone used the Hardin Marine Cyclone exhaust? I need a new system and want larger primaries. They say Hardin's have 2 1/8" primaries. CMI would be great except for the cost. Any info or suggestions for hardins or other options?

Their system does not seem to be anything new. Why do you mention it? Do you have experience with it?

Thanks for the info. Looks like this is not for me. Expensive mistake.

Have you considered Lightning?
They worked very well on my previous boat.
Affordable too.

I am considering lightning. But to the best of my knowledge they only have 1 7/8" primaries. Kind of small for a big blower motor. I may go with them anyway. Has anyone used them to make 1000HP?

I'm pretty sure they can make up 2 1/4" inner tubes for you.

Give them a call and talk to Jan.

PS. My headers on the pic above have 2" inner primaries and 4" inner collector.

I spoke to Jay. He said the new header has 2 1/8" primarys. Cost about 4K, I may go with them.

Thanks

I was looking at blown42's motors today, he has Lightnings with 5# boost pulleys. I didn't tape the primaries, I guess they're 1 7/8ths.

This made me think, and yes it hurt :D.

I wonder what the formula is to calculate how much exhaust gas expelled(of course considering exhaust gas temp expansion) vs. actual cfm at the carb.

Anyone? Bueller?
