Graphics

My 32 baja has dated graphics. I'm OK with the graphics but the pink and teal got to go. Gel is in great shape.

I head that some boats come OEM with graphics that are vinyl and cover the entire free board. Is this true and can it be done to cover my current graphics that are in the gel?

Thanks,
Bob

i just did a color change for a customer on a 24 Outlaw from the pink/teal/purple to a yellow orange burn/ dark pearl purple and a fleckstone granite. made the boat look 10 years newer.we used the existing graphics and just went over them. you might want to think of doing just a change in color. as a matter a of fact i've done it for a few customers with great results.

outside pics didnt come out to well but the darker color is a really cool purple pearl, the grey one is kind of a fleckstone granite and the yellow has a long candy orange burn on the tail of it.

thanks guys

as long as i have been do'n graphics i've learned nuthin "dates" a boat more than those teals, pinks, pastels and the like' just scream late 80's early 90's. alot of times all you need is a change color. this boat used to be pink and a dark pastel purple and we did a lime green and a brighter puprle. its owned by Madcow on the board here.

Bob mine was teal and pink too here is what I did painted over the old added one stripe to it too!

SSComp 04-11-2004 08:39 PM

Glass dave. The 24 you did is the same scheme as my 32. Mine is a 1994.

Since my boat is on Catawba you are very close. I'll E-you.

FYI, I had the complete engine capartment updated in white gel coat with purple splatter. I also bought a purple (and I mean purple) tubular platform.

I'll e-you with my contacts.

cool . . i'm pretty close to Catawba. we have a place on long beach. there is alot you can do with that scheme.

I also had the pink/teal. I stripped the stripes down to the white gel.

Glass Dave, Did you get my e-mail?

Jryan26, did you consider a vinyl wrap for your current screen? There are also coatings that adhere to Plexiglas.

Do you mean putting peel and stick vinyl over the glass?? My friend keeps telling me this will work, but I haven't found anyone who's done it in this forum.
