Looking for fuel consumption specs on 575 sci's. at 3500 and 5300 rpm.

I'm running a 42' tiger. Powerboat test showed about 1.1 mpg and boat test reports about .85 mpg. Looking for max. range for the tiger.

I have heard that merc. uses this formula,,,, HP divided by 12 = fuel consumption at 80% throttle...

For example,, twin 500 EFI's = 940 hp divided by 12 = 80 gallons per hour @ 4,100 rpms. so I would assume approx 100 GPH or more at WFOT. Might as well hook up a garden hose...
