Installing Switchable Mufflers
Need some help installing Switchable Mufflers. I currently have twins in a thru hull and putting on 4.5 Teague’s. I need to know:
1) Best way to remove the 4inch exhausts hose 2) Best way to cut a larger opening & protect it from water (do I need to re-coat it with gel coat or just resin plus a primer?) 3) Wiring for the mufflers Thanks, Dennis |
I figured out #2 with the hole saw thread

However, the teagues go from the inside out. Even harder going back on since the tips have to be installed BEFORE you can put hte hoses back on. I used a rotorzip tool to widen up my outside ports due to hte extreme angle on my setup. The inside two I used a 4" to set inside along with the 4.5 mounted on top of it to start the holes. Got that tip from OSO also. :) wiring was easy. ground to the block hot to hte soleniod. i used the one soleniod for both sets and put in an inline fuse from the battery. do you have an unused switch in the dash? I just reused my old silent choice switch. |
