who made this boat?
1 Attachment(s)
any one know what company made this boat......
Looks like a beak to me, I'd guess a 12-Meter Fountain, with the flat transon.. A couple of things are throwing me off, tho. The side portals could have been added afterwards, but the rake of the windshield isn't older-Fountain vintage.
Could be a US Navy HSB (High Speed Boat) used by the SEAL's. Fountain made these a while back, too. Other guesses? Good one, Brian |

I was going to say Fountain also...but as you said the windshield is throwing me off. Also the waterline across the back......Never have seen a Fountain sit up that high.
I have no idea. I'll guess SeaBold.
This boat is a rare bird......just wanted to see if any of you "pro's" could figure out who made it......I'll take a few more guess.......I have never seen another boat like it. I thought it was some kind of custom job, until I found out who made it............
I'm guessing it at the mid 1980's. Waiting for the answer though
Mid 80's is right. I'll give you a hint picture it with a center console,

ITS A CIG!!!!
Good one.
Is it in the Cleveland area? |
Nope not a CIG. The cig was a 28SS if im not mistaken. Its 30 minutes east of Cleveland
Scorpion, Signature, Monza...
There you go.. It's a 1984 Monza 27SS. One of very few.
I have owned the boat for a while now and have never seen another one set up like this and I have been looking for them. I have seen center consoles. I have also heard of a factory race boat set up the same with twins. It's a very solid boat and loves the rough stuff. |
Ok, so I was off by a few meters
What kind of power is in it? |
It had a 330 in it with a TRS when I bought. I'm building a 500hp 468 for it now. That Should wake it up a bit. I'd love to see what 700hp would do for it.
