Engine Compartment
On a 1987 Pachanga 22 is there any way to open the engine compartment hatch if the batteries go dead?

This sounds just like my first post! If you can get to the back side of the switch for the hatch you can use a couple of alligator clips with leads to a battery or a jumper pack and raise the hatch. It might be a good idea to install a pair of jumper terminal posts under the seat for future problems or to be able to remove the batteries in the winter. Steve

If you have a lighter receptacle on the dash, make up a wire with a cigarette lighter plug and a couple of battery clips, and use a spare battery. Or use one of those battery chargers that charge through the lighter receptacle. My friend's Pachanga has an access panel in the rear seat, so he can reach in and disengage the cylinder just in case something like that happens. My boat does as well. You should consider putting one in.:)
