350 Merc Head Problem

I just pulled my boat out of storage last week. My first ride did not turn out very good, I damaged a valve and a valve seat on one head and the other had problems with intake guides. It looks like I need 1 head casting and 8 SS intake valves; can any one help!! The machinist was confident that the exhaust valves(innocol) were in good shape as well as the valve springs. He also felt like he could save one of the heads with some work. Any help or suggestions would be great.

what is the casting # on the head?

You may want to consider buying a set of WP new SR Torquer heads. Very nice casting, can re-use your parts, worth a little HP.

The bare casting WP Sportsman 2 heads from summit are $249 shipped to your door. Not bad for a new casting!

Thanks for the help, I think I have found a used head but I need some SS Intake valves...any ideas.

Stainless intakes are nut a must, exhaust I would recommend them. Manley, REV, Ferrea, are all good choices. You do want a valve with a hard chrome stem. . .not flash chromed.

My heads currently have SS Intakes and Innocol(not sure of the spelling) Exhaust valves. The machinist wanted to use SS on the intake to match the other motor.
