Bravo Transom Assembly, HP vs Standard

What is beefed up on the Bravo HP Transom assembly?
What is the failure mode that Mercruiser is addressing with this upgrade.
Is it just a beefier Gimbal ring.
I know you can't run electric indicators with the HP ring, but I have mechanical ones anyway.
I'm going to be purchasing bravo transom assemblies, but I don't want overkill if I don't need it.

I believe the pins and ring are larger. If you are over 500-525 hp I'd use the heavy duty assembly. If you are under that it's a nice piece of mind. Don't forget, you will loose steering control when the gimble breaks. That could make for some slight uglyness. Of course, right after that your boat will sink because the drive fell off.

Yea, it's hard to kick a guy in the groin when he's floating in the water, but that's what it would feel like watching your boat sink while you swim back to it. :fish:
