Is this price correct for a mech fuel pump

I just ordred a new fuel pump for my 454/310 motor. They want $139.50. Is this correct or are they hosing me? It is a mech pump on the sea water pulley.

That price sound OK. Why are you replacing it? I'm think I have a potential problem with my fuel pump right now too. BAM marine had the lowest prices I saw.

Unfortunately you have to buy the one from Merc. There is no aftermarket pump that I am aware of that will work. That prices sounds right. To double check go to www.mercruiserparts.com He has great pricing on parts.

I am replcing it because gas is seeping down into the oil that lubricates the pump. I was told the fuel pump diaphrams are bad.

The front seal started leaking on my sea pump. After removing it I found the lube oil had a gas oder so I replaced the fuel pump and the front seal . Maybe the gas was hard on the front shaft seal also?
