I checked the photos and called rex marine. Thanks. In talking to the slesman the filters appear to be too long for the small block. My motor box is tight and changing the filter would also be very difficult.
I run a straight 30 wt dino oil. Would I see any difference with a 30 wt synthetic oil?
Thanks

Maybe I am at the point where I should be running a synthetic. The next time I change the oil I will give it a try. I am only around 300 hp so it is more a temp problem than a hp problem.
I mis spoke in my last reply. The oil cooler is too long and it may not fit. With a small block the distance from the stock oil filter to the motor mount is not long enough.
I am curious if any one else has noticed an improvement in oil pressure with synthetic oil after a hard run?
Thanks

I doupt if you will see much difference in oil pressure with synthetic but you will have added protection. You can remote mount the cooler and plumb to it. That is how mine is set up for the same reson. Not enough room to mount to the block. 411-103 model.
Another cure is just do not hold it wide open so long! Yea like that is going to happen. Good luck
