hey can somebody give me a hand

i just bought this 192 rinker last summer and had it winterized by the dealer...but i want to de-winterize it myself cuz i know it's e-z. only problem is...i don't have a service manual. it's got a 4.3L merc 6-cyl on it...one of the most common around so i know somebody out there has done this before!

the outfit that i took it to last fall put 3 engine drain plugs in a plastic baggie taped to the steering wheel. i found where they go and put them on.

is there anything else i need to do before starting it up?????????

thanks, all!!

Make sure they didremove any hoses or clamps,,, check the oil,, fire it up and watch everything in the motor compartment for water spraying,,, ,keep an eye on your guages to.

This is what all I would check,

all hoses are connected and tight
top off the acid level in the battery with water
change spark plugs
check and/or replace distributor cap
check and/or replace spark plug wires
clean flame arrestor in kerosene
make sure battery cables are clean and not corroded
check belt or belts for any sign of wear
change the oil in the engine and gear lube in the drive
CHANGE fuel/water separator filter (Highly overlooked)
after all of this you should be good for a 20 to 30 hours of use.

Magnum 27 is right on.... except he meant
to say distilled water in the battery.

If you put in a new fuel/water separator, you will find that you have to crank it a while to get it to start.
(The filter will be dry.)
I think that some guys put a little gas in it to get the ball rolling, but maybe I'm wrong.

Don't forget the main drain plug. Lots of people remove it for winter storage.

Check online for a service manual, you'll want to look it over even before you have a problem. Plus, it will help you in the fall when you re-winterize.

You might have rust in the holes where the drain plugs go. Check them and run a tap in them if they are really rusted up.
