What power do you recommend?

I'm selling my 1999 24 Pantera Sport.

I'm pulling the blower motor and going to install Stock Mercruiser Power.

My deal on a 500HP with 180 Hours fell through so I'm back in the market. Prefer a 502 or a 454 Mag. Low hours is a must, I want to sell the boat with a great reliable, trouble free motor to match the rest of the work I've done on the boat.

What do you guys recommend?

Cash to anyone that helps promote my boat that leads to a sale!!!

Not sure if you saw it but there is a 454 Mag for sale complete in the classified section.

Saw it. Too many hours though. I'd like to sell it with low hours 100 or less if possible.

Thanks though!

There is a place TX that sells take outs with less than 30hours and a 90day warranty. The name escapes me but they advertise in Powerboat.
I would recommend a 385HP/454mag or 375HP/496mag.
Either engine will push that boat in the low to mid 70s.
A 502mag or 496magHO is not worth the extra 2-3K in a 24'.
My opinion of course...;)

Thanks Pat

I'll look into it. I wish I could get the 500HP. It would make for a great package to sell, good performance, next to stock.

I was planning on pulling the covers and replacing the springs. Drop it in and goooooo!!!
