Jetting?
 

I have 540s with merlin intakes, and holley 800cfms. The carbs have the stock staggered jets. I am running the crane 741. Do any of you have a similiar set up? If so, what jets are you using? I was thinking of starting with 81/92. Thanks

i thought a 540 needed a bigger cfm carb?
i have roller 502 w/ demons running 84/95

Modified zz 502,800 CFM 9022 carb.86 pr 96 sec 6.5 PV.A bit rich at idle but still working it back.No transom soot and plugs clean after a hard run.I am having a problem getting the plugs to color,but they dont look overheated.I was richer but noted speed improvment backing down to here.It still seems a bit rich by comparrison of what other people are running.I might experiment some more but I'm gettin tired of stinkin like gas and oil everytime I go boating.
