Fuel Line Plumbing and Water Seperating Filters

I've got the engines out of boat and am re-rigging the engine compartment. There are water/fuel seperating filters on bulkhead for ewach engine and there is a similar filter on each engine as part of EFI system.

Are the exter filters causing a reduction in fuel flow? Is the filter on engine adequite for fuel/water problem?

Would love to get rid of the filters on bulkhead since they are from the previous engine installation. Would appreciate any comments--

What type of engine? Mercruiser does not recommend adding extra filters to the fuel system. It messes with the ECM.

Re: Fuel Line Plumbing and Water Seperating Filters

The engines are MarinePower EFI 454 with Arizona Speed induction and ECU.

I was guessing the filters on bulkhead filters (which reamined from Mercruiser 370 TRS carb engines) needed to go and rely only on engine mounted water/fuel seprating filter.

Would appreciate confirmation.
