24 Velocity Prop

Looking for help with new prop selection. 24 Velocity with 454.
Currently running at 3 blade merc mirage. Get lots of slippage coming
on plane or mid range. Would a 4 blade or 5 blade be better. Current top
speed is about 70. Would like to keep or gain top speed.

A 4 blade made a big difference on my boat for the reasons you mentioned. Try posting in the "Velocity" section below for more specific info.

When you say 24 Velocity I hope you meant the Model 260, if not sorry for wasting your time.
I had a 99 Velocity 260 with a mag 454 and ran a Hydromotive 26 pitch for top end and a Bravo 1 26 pitch for power and elevation. It ran a little over 70 if I remember right. Like to run Tahoe.
Eng died and I put a HP500, that really worked.
