350 MPI needs more performance
Any advice on upgrades on a stock 2000 350 mpi or just build another engine. I would like to be around 400 to 450 hp. and a supercharger would give me that. It seems that there's not alot of supersharged small blocks around. Any leads on upgrades new or used please give me a call. [email protected] Thank you Jeff

Just curious what boat you have this in, and what kind of numbers you are running... RPM's, top speed, etc?

Re: 350 MPI needs more performance
Justin , it's a 22ZX it runs around 56 and turning 5k . It has a bravo 4 blade 22 pitch. The motor runs excellent and burns very little gas , but I need some more speed. Jeff

Re: 350 MPI needs more performance
Keep this post at the top, I know there are some guys on here with the same boat. Maybe do a search for the 22ZX. From what I've read, the 4 blade's are great for accelleration, but not as good for top speed as a 3 blade.

Re: 350 MPI needs more performance
Hey Jeff,
I also have a 22zx. My top speed is 64.3mph on GPS. I use a Bravo 1 4 blade with 24 pitch. I asked a question a while back about a k&n filter but no one seems to know. I have heard it can increase rpms 200-400 adding 1-3 mph, but it is only rumor. |
Re: 350 MPI needs more performance
I am installing a procharge kit now on my 6.2 will make 540HP I sell the kits for
$4195.00 will make 490HP on a 350 mag or 520 HP WITH 7PSI KIT |

Take off your current arrestor/filter and go for a quick blast and you might see 200 RPM. I run with a K&N and the Air Xstream filter top, maybe picked up 100 RPM with the top but it may be the cheapest HP gain at only $60. |
