Torque specs for Bravo
 
Looking for the torque spec on the propshaft bearing/carrier retainer nut on an XZ Bravo. Anyone know? Thx in advance.

You cant just torque the retainer nut. You tighten it to set bearing preload on the prop shaft. Using a new crush sleeve, you tighten till you measure 8-12 in/lbs with new bearings and 5-8 in/lbs with used bearings. If you tighten too much, then a new crush sleeve is needed. You can cheat and use a shim from the old style cases (1988) and setup proceedure, but it is easier to just buy a new crush sleeve. Merc calls them load rings. PN 67440T...
