BilgeKote
Has anyone ever found out if there is a way to tint this stuff??
White or gray, BLAH!!!!!!!!!! |
Re: BilgeKote
I can't imagine any paint that can't be tinted. As long as you are adding something compatible, shouldn't be a problem.
Send an e-mail to Interlux. They were very responsive when I had a question. D. Ocean Pompano Beach, FLA |

I did send an email to Interlux. They said not able to tint bilgecote. ##*!
Any ideas??? |
Re: BilgeKote
Experiment! Get the smallest can available (pint, quart?) and try adding another colored paint that is of the same type (urethane, enamel, etc.). Test on a small portion of the bilge and see how it holds up.

Re: BilgeKote
I know you CAN NOT tint it with Dupont ChormaSystem Tints, or mixed Chorma base and Chroma Priemer basecoat for that matter. I think it's some kind of oil based? or Alkyd enamel but I'm not sure. I really didn't like that stuff and if I painted my bilge again I'd use an paint Epoxy or Polyurethane paint.
