INFO: K&N OIL FILTER on 7.4
 

I figured I would try a K&N filter on my 7.4 this morning. Theres not enough clearance between the filter and the stock exhaust manifold to get the threads started. The problem is the wrench nut they put on the bottom with the safety wire holes. Of course I only figure this out after I get filled it with oil. I dumped it out, wrapped it in a rag and cut the nut off with a hack saw. (Wasn't going to use it anyway) Trying not to get metal saw dust in the filter. I probably could have taken the bracket off also, but I didn't try it. This is the short filter HP-2002 or Fram PH-30 Cross. And I wonder why everything takes longer than I estimate. Thanks, Doug
