26' Scarab
 

Does anyone have any opinions on the 26' Scarab.I looked at a 1996 26' today. It is around the size I want to downsize to. Is the construction on the 26 similar to the larger same year Scarabs such as the 29' or is it a bottom end Scarab? Also What about the Exhaust system with the muffler cans? I like loud exhaust but those days are coming to an end where I boat sorry to say. any opinions appreciated.

Take a look at my 1997 here in the OSO classifieds.
I've owned mine since new , I really like it. The boat rides better than others that are a few feet longer, I've been told that many times. As far as construction I really don't have any ideas. The 26's are wider than the 29's so the hull must be completly different. The only negative about the boat is the cabin headroom isn't that great.
In the 7 years I've owned mine I've had zero problems with the hull, rigging of the boat. I think it is an underated boat.
Buy my 97 and you won't have to worry about the muffler cans !!

I just sold a 1996 26' Scarab that I owned for almost three years. It was a great boat for us. We had zero problems w/ her. She will be missed. I would say they are a decent quality entry level performance boat.
