Compression on Merc. 1988 330hp 454??

Help!!
My brother-in-law has to do a compression test on a boat he sold as a request of the buyer. What should it read??

I told him, I thought about 130lbs. but as long as they are all about the same it will be OK....right???

Thanks!!

A solid motor won't deviate more than 5psi per cylinder, a leak down test in my opinion is a much better way to verify an engines cylinder sealing capabilites. FYI :Believe it or not an engine only needs about 60psi to run.
