leaking oil line.
 
can a pin hole cause that big of a mess in the bilge, does any one know how much pressure goes in to return side of the remote filter adapter, its just a pin hole :confused: i know i have to change it but there quite a bit of oil in there now, never lost pressure, but was running 5300rpm and stopped and just luckily opened bilge and said oh #### .

Yes they can leak a Lot! I put six quarts in in about two hours. When I got back and looked, I couldn't even see the hole.

Oh it can cause a MAJOR MESS. Been there done that. Lost 7 to 8 qts in a matter of minutes. Glad I was carrying 12 qts in my system. I caught it while making a wide U-turn and my oil pressure started going crazy. When I straightened out it stopped...figured the oil was low and stopped to check. :eek: Mine looked like a pi$$ stream hitting the engine hatch and splattering ALL OVER :(

Mee too, fortunatly Im only leaking about a pint an hr.
