Timing for HP-500 w/ thuder IV ignition???

Anyone know the total timing for carb'd HP-500's with T-Bolt 4 ignition??? I believe the modules are 24 degree and I think initial timing is supposed to be about 10 degrees. Anyone know for sure.

Thanks

CCP- According to the Mercruiser Service Manual for the HP500/Thunderbolt IV--Module advance is 20*, Initial advance is 14* for a total of 34*. Full advance is at 3200 RPM. These numbers cross check in both the tune-up and ignition sections of the manual I'm looking at.--Lou

Thanks Lmarth: It appears someone has changed the modules then. We ran it at 10 initial and had a total of 34/35. Though the dampers ar emarked at 15 & 34.

What year motor are you looking at? I'm assuming its carbed right?

Thanks again.
Curt
