MSD question
 

After going through & cleaning up my msd distributors, I decided to trace the wiring, since I have a poker run coming up on Wed. I figured I'd get my spare box all prepped with the right connectors, just in case (I've had some ignition gremlins this year).

Anyways, as far as I know, you shouldn't use both the white wire of the MSD box & the dual connector lead to trigger the system. Much to my surprise, both are hooked up. The plug in connector to the dist. and the other goes into the harness somewhere ??????????

I didn't wire this boat, so the only thing I can think of is that someone who had it before me used the boxes & set them up with the merc distributors.

Am I missing something here, or should I try disconnecting the white wire..........?
