Re: zero effort contols tension

I don't think that the "Kiekhaefer" Zero Effort controls have any adjustment. They just have the detent ball and springs. No adjustment of tension can be done, but you could try replacing the spring and ball.

When you go to the lake, East Coast Flightcraft just opened new location in Meredith, I think walking distance from town dock. http://www.eastcoastflightcraftnh.com/map.htm In Middleton they sell Fountain and Cobalt, brother just got Cobalt and raves about them, so maybe they could offer some guidance. or try e-mailing Cobalt directly and tell your issue, if they are what they appear to be (excellent boat co) they will help resolve http://www.cobaltboats.com/foundation/homepage3.html

Good luck
