Need Some Technical Feedback on These Props

1 Attachment(s)
Attached is a picture of two different sets of props that came on boat.

Boat is a 1987 SR357 with 454's and 1.5 TRS drives. Props are both 21P.

What difference in performance will the clever (pointy) props provide vs the Mirage props?

THanks for help

The Mirage is a bow lifting prop which should have descent panning and the can cleaver is a stern lifting prop which will be more difficult to get on plane but should net some good top end numbers.

The cleaver is proably the original prop. Looks great on the show room floor, but sucks on the water with that boat. The Mirage should be the best prop for the boat. You can sell the cleavers. They are totally worthless on this board, but should sell for a bill or two on ebay.

I agree with cord, I had some cleavers on an older baja, They pretty much were useless, Would spin the rpms up but would blow out, cavitate in turns, pretty much junk as been said, You have a 357 which is a very heavy boat, I would think it would be a real dog out of the hole with the cleaver, Stick with the mirage you will have a better hole shot and won't cost you to many mph on the top end, Jeff
