Merc Trim Pumps

Can the newer (plastic reservoir) pump replace the older (aluminum tank) without hefty modifications? My old bowrider 19' Checkmate needs a new pump and I'd like to upgrade it to the newer style. I'm not sure if the newer style works better or if my old one is just plain wore out. My other Checkmate, which has the newer style pump, is much faster....Triming the drive that is.
I found both of these on e-bay.... Old Style (the one I have that needs replaced) |

Yep, new one will work, you need some adapters for the lines. we have a bunch, will sell some for $329 brand new.
