Bravo creeps up
When running in hard in rough water, my starboard bravo is trimming out by itself. With all of the pressure on the drive, how the hell is this happening? I assume its something electrical, the pump must be coming on by itself, right?

Re: Bravo creeps up
It could be that you may have your hydrulic lines crossed. I have done this myself before back in the 1980's and seen it happen with a few other boaters I know of.

Re: Bravo creeps up
I'd say electrical too. I had an OMC Cobra drive on a Liberator where that happened. It turned out being a couple of trim wires were worn in the throttle handle and when it was pushed forward, they would contact and trim up the drive. I expect you have Keikaeffer controls, but I'd look at the wiring in the trim switches.

Re: Bravo creeps up
if you have gaffrig controls, the micro switch has been known to stick internally. could also be a defective solenoid. either way i ll bet it s electrical

Re: Bravo creeps up
almost forgot about this thread...turns out the wiring harness at the pump was rubbing against a bolt, chafed and was shorting out. all set, Thanks all.
