I have seen many out there, but who makes a compact high powered jumper box?

For my job personal use, I like Jump and Carry model JNC 300.

Re: Battery jumper boxes
The crappy little Samsclub ones seem to work pretty well for jumper boxes. We hop a Detroit 550 diesel with one every so often.
If you have a totally crapped out battery though, they are obviously limited in their abilities. Remember, when dealing with lead acid, gel, agm, and nicad style batteries, WEIGHT means capacity. There's no such thing as a lightweight high capacity jumper box. Cellphone style batteries (Li-ion) are light but I can't imagine the insane price you'd pay for a 20 Ah one. |
Re: Battery jumper boxes
Matco makes a really good one, its expensive but its small and powerful. find it at Matcotools.com.

Re: Battery jumper boxes
lot of decent brands out there, probably made by same man'. One thing to look at is what they are actually made from, a lot of the original ones were powered by nothing more than double A batteries. That the ones that have some capacity and a little bit of nut are just great for emergencies, if you keep them charged. Mine has jumped my 12:1 454 Chevelle numerous times or at least I got off my cheap a** and bought a new Gel Cel blue top. If not in a hurry even look on ubid.com, after all you can return it if not happy!
