Determining Drive Ratio --- Again

I know this has been covered quite a bit, but.......

I have a Bravo 1 drive and I need to verify the drive ratio.

What I was going to do was to put the drive in gear and turn the crank over by hand and count the rotations. I can't get any easy access to the front of the crank pully to do this though. And the interlock won't let me bump the engine over with the starter when it is in gear.

What are some alternate methods to verify the drive ratio? Preferably something quick and easy?

Thanks,
Steve

steve see if you can get to the starter solinoid and tap the motor that way.make sure you disconect the coil wire.there is large stud which is your battery and a smaller one either yellow or orange use wire an alligator clip on each terminal and then touch both together.it will crank

Ahh! That sounds so simple. It didn't occur to me that you could do that, but now that I think about it, I guess the safety interlock only prohibits the KEY from turning the starter.

Thanks for the help!
